These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Taskhound.co.uk platform and services made available by Genesis Ventures Ltd. By using our website, platform, messaging tools, booking tools, subscriptions, or lead generation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "Customer", "Professional", or "User") and Genesis Ventures Ltd ("we", "us", "our", or "Taskhound").

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our platform.

Taskhound is an online marketplace platform that connects customers with independent professionals and service providers throughout the United Kingdom.

2. Eligibility

You may only use Taskhound if:

●       You are at least 18 years old;

●       You have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts;

●       You are located in the United Kingdom; and

●       You comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

If you use Taskhound on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on behalf of that business.

3. Definitions

In these Terms:

"Customer" means a user seeking services from a Professional.

"Professional" means an independent business, tradesperson, freelancer, or service provider using the platform.

"Lead" means a customer enquiry or request submitted through the platform.

"Services" means the services provided directly by Professionals to Customers.

"Platform" means the website, systems, messaging tools, booking tools, calendar functions, and associated services operated by Taskhound.

"Subscription" means any paid monthly, 6‑month, or annual membership package offered to Professionals.

4. Nature of Our Service

4.1 Taskhound is an introduction and lead generation platform only.

4.2 We do not provide the services advertised by Professionals.

4.3 We are not a party to any agreement, contract, arrangement, or dispute between Customers and Professionals.

4.4 Any contract for services is solely between the Customer and the Professional.

4.5 Taskhound does not employ, supervise, manage, direct, or control any Professional.

4.6 We do not guarantee:

●       the quality of any work;

●       the suitability of any Professional;

●       that any Professional is licensed, qualified, insured, or legally compliant;

●       the accuracy of profile information;

●       availability of Professionals; or

●       successful completion of any services.

4.7 Customers are solely responsible for carrying out their own checks before hiring any Professional.

5. Customer Requests and Leads

5.1 Customers may submit requests for services through the platform.

5.2 Taskhound may distribute these requests to relevant Professionals.

5.3 Professionals may purchase access to customer leads using credits.

5.4 Once a Professional purchases a lead, customer contact details may be shared with that Professional.

5.5 Taskhound does not guarantee that any lead will result in work, payment, or a successful booking.

6. Professional Accounts, Credits and Subscriptions

6.1 Professionals may purchase lead credits and subscription packages.

6.2 Subscription packages may include enhanced visibility, promoted listings, badges, or additional platform features.

6.3 Subscription options may include monthly, 6‑month, and annual plans.

6.4 Professionals may cancel subscriptions at any time. Cancellation will prevent future renewals but will not normally result in refunds for the remaining subscription period.

6.5 Credits purchased on the platform do not expire.

6.6 Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making payments on the platform, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms and policies.

6.7 Taskhound reserves the right to change pricing, subscription features, lead costs, or package structures at any time.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 All purchases made on the platform are generally non-refundable.

7.2 In certain circumstances, and entirely at our discretion, we may issue refunds in the form of platform credits.

7.3 Cash refunds are not guaranteed.

7.4 Refund requests relating to work performed by a Professional must be directed to that Professional directly.

8. Reviews and Ratings

8.1 Customers may leave reviews and ratings regarding their experience with Professionals.

8.2 Reviews must:

●       be honest and accurate;

●       relate to genuine experiences;

●       not contain abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening, or unlawful content;

●       not contain false statements; and

●       not infringe any third-party rights.

8.3 Taskhound reserves the right to moderate, remove, edit, or refuse reviews at our sole discretion.

8.4 We may suspend or restrict accounts that misuse the review system.

9. Trusted Badge and Promotions

9.1 Taskhound may award Professionals with badges such as "Trusted" based on platform activity, subscription status, completed jobs, reviews, or other internal criteria.

9.2 A badge does not constitute:

●       identity verification;

●       background checks;

●       licensing confirmation;

●       insurance verification; or

●       any guarantee of quality or reliability.

9.3 Customers remain solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before hiring a Professional.

10. Messaging, Booking and Communications

10.1 Taskhound may provide messaging tools, booking systems, calendars, notifications, or communication features.

10.2 Users agree not to:

●       send spam or unsolicited marketing;

●       harass or threaten other users;

●       share unlawful or offensive material;

●       attempt fraud or scams;

●       misuse platform communications; or

●       interfere with platform operations.

10.3 We may monitor, restrict, suspend, or remove communications or accounts where misuse is suspected.

11. Account Suspension and Removal

11.1 We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any account without prior notice where we reasonably believe:

●       these Terms have been breached;

●       fraudulent activity has occurred;

●       fake leads or fake profiles have been created;

●       spam or abusive conduct has occurred;

●       unlawful activity is suspected; or

●       platform integrity or user safety may be affected.

11.2 We may also remove content, profiles, listings, or reviews at our discretion.

12. Illegal and Prohibited Content

12.1 Users must not upload, advertise, post, or distribute:

●       illegal goods or services;

●       fraudulent offers;

●       offensive or discriminatory content;

●       sexually explicit material;

●       violent or threatening content;

●       malware or harmful software; or

●       content infringing intellectual property rights.

12.2 We reserve the right to investigate reports and remove prohibited content immediately.

12.3 Users may report illegal or prohibited content by contacting support@taskhound.co.uk.

13. Data Protection and Privacy

13.1 We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

13.2 By using the platform, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of information necessary for operating the platform and facilitating introductions.

13.3 Contact details may be shared with Professionals once a lead is purchased.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 All intellectual property rights relating to the Taskhound platform, branding, logos, software, text, and design belong to Genesis Ventures Ltd or its licensors.

14.2 Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit platform content without written permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taskhound shall not be liable for:

●       work performed by Professionals;

●       disputes between Customers and Professionals;

●       business losses;

●       loss of profits;

●       reputational damage;

●       loss of opportunity;

●       indirect or consequential losses;

●       delays, interruptions, or technical failures; or

●       unauthorised access to accounts.

15.3 Taskhound's total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the platform or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:

(a) the total amount paid by you to Taskhound during the previous 3 months; or

(b) £100.

15.4 Customers and Professionals acknowledge that all agreements for services are entered into entirely at their own risk.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Genesis Ventures Ltd, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, losses, or legal expenses arising from:

●       your use of the platform;

●       your breach of these Terms;

●       disputes with other users; or

●       your violation of any law or third-party rights.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes relating to these Terms or the use of the platform.

18. Changes to These Terms

18.1 We may update or modify these Terms from time to time.

18.2 Updated Terms will become effective once published on the platform.

18.3 Continued use of Taskhound after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. General Provisions

19.1 If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

19.2 Our failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of rights.

19.3 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation.

19.4 Users may not transfer their rights or obligations without our written consent.

19.5 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Taskhound regarding platform use.
